Isle of Elba
Route starts from Salivoli harbour.
Circumnavigate the Isle of Elba and you'll have the ideal solution for family holidays and for those who want to combine: sailing with scuba diving, trekking, horse riding and mountain biking. If you sail clockwise you will have the six main harbours of the island at your disposal. The first is Cavo (5 miles from Portoferraio), with the village of Rio dell'Elba high uphill, Porto Azzurro (6 miles from Rio Marina), enchanting little port dominated by the famous prison and by the splendid village of Capoliveri (10 minutes from the harbour).
Sail on and you'll find an incredible sequence of tiny coves and large bays, among which Golfo Stella and Lacona (6 miles from Porto Azzurro) before you reach the next landing.
They offer magnificent inlets where you can experience exciting hours sailing and nights at bay under a starry sky, safe from the northern winds.
From here you can reach Marina di Campo (10 miles from Porto Azzurro), a unique harbour on the southern coast of the island, a tourist center with its fashionable attractions.
Sail through the marvellous small bay of Fetovaia and go up along the steep rocky coast on the western part of the Isle of Elba. You can go back to Marciana Marina (10 miles from Marina di Campo) and Portoferraio. Don't miss a stop at the gulfs of Procchio and Enfola for one last swim!
